TITLE A system of morphological analysis of Russian word-forms OBJECTIVES The system takes as its input a Russian text or a word. For each word of a text all the homonymous versions of its morphological analysis are considered. At the output an array(a stream) of records(structures) is formed, one record per each homonym of each input word and per each punctuation mark. Such a record contains a unique number of a lexeme (a dictionary entry), which is appointed for it and does not change with enlargement of the dictionary, and a set of grammatical characteristics of a word such as the case, the gender, the number etc. One may regard as a special feature of the system the fact that, apart from the morphological analysis proper (i.e. inflectional analysis), each word is examined from the point of view of occasional word-derivation. Moreover, for each word among its homonymous versions are given some hypotheses on its possible erroneous use, which sharply raises the possibility of understanding a sentence with the subsequent syntactical analysis in the case of erroneous agreement of words. The latter peculiarity of the system may turn out helpful for persons with an incomplete command of the Russian language. The system is equiped with a dictionary compilid on the basis of "Grammatical Dictionary of Russian" bu A.A.Zaliznjak and containing about 100 thousand words. The utilization of the elements of derivational analysis in the algorithm made it possible to reduce the dictionary information to the capacity stored in the main memory up to 640K, which ensures (a) high internal performance, (b) possibility of using a computer without a hard disk. APPLICATIONS Liguistic processors and artificial intelligence systems, text processing systems, automatic translation systems. The system can be utilized both independently and in combination with a syntactical analysis module at our disposal or of your own.
